I have +13 years’ industry experience in both local and international markets within the built environment. My expertise includes technical due diligence, affordable & social housing, urban development, project & development management, planning and design of civil infrastructure engineering projects, bulk earthworks plat forming, roads, stormwater drainage, water & sewer reticulation, flood line hydraulic modelling, cable ducting and construction supervision.
I started my career at construction company, Thumba Projects in 2011 and shortly after joined consultants SMEC South Africa (Pty) Ltd in 2012. Approximately 10 years later I joined the IHS Group in 2022 as a Technical Specialist, where I am currently responsible for determining the technical feasibility of the IHS Affordable & Social Housing projects, IFC EDGE green building certification, identifying technical constraints and determining the impact of these constraints on the project budget and program. I also oversee investor criteria in terms of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting.
I am registered as a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) within the Civil Engineering discipline, and a Project Management Professional (PMP)® with the Project Management Institute (PMI). I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (with Distinction) and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering. I’m also an Associate Member of the South African Institute of Civil Engineers (SAICE), a certified NHBRC Technical Manager and am a competent internal auditor trained in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
