meet godknows
Big X
For the trainers at Classic Seminars, it’s folks like Godknows that makes the investment worthwhile. When we first met him, Godknows was a civil engineer with 5+ years of project management experience. He was attending the Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam Preparation course in order to earn a certificate to underline his project management experience. While his project management experience was solid, his exposure to the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) was limited. Over the 10 weeks of training, there were a number of times, when he had exclaimed – “Oh, so that’s how it works!” Godknows had grown substantially in an understanding of project management processes, formulae and documents. At the end of the 10 week course, he wrote the Classic Seminars trial exam, a 200 mark, four-hour simulation of the Project Management Professional exam, and achieved a borderline result. Our recommendation was that he look through the detailed feedback from the trial exam that we send every student, and continue to apply himself diligently to his studies in order to pass the real exam. So as to secure the Classic Seminars if-you-fail-guarantee, Godknows had booked his exam for less than 60 days after his last training date with Classic Seminars. It was with a heavy heart that we responded to Godknows’s email – he had failed his first writing of the Project Management Professional exam. Not daunted, he immediately asked if Classic Seminars would refund his second writing of the exam, and booked it 112 days after his first exam. As a special favour, Classic Seminars allowed him to rewrite a totally different Classic Seminars trial exam a couple of weeks before his second real exam. On his second Classic Seminars’ trial exam, Godknows achieved a 78% pass mark. We cautioned him, that while he stood a good chance to pass the Project Management Professional exam, he should ensure that he continues to prepare, taking specific note of all the corrections which are emailed to all students after each trial exam. We were overjoyed when he phoned hours after writing a second time, to hear that he had passed the Project Management Professional Edition 5 exam, with flying colors, and subsequently was offered a wonderful job in Gauteng!
